This also makes us the only team in school history to medal two years in a row, which is pretty fantastic,” Spartans coach Nate DaCunha told the Spruce Grove Examiner. “They have a really good program and they usually make the final. To beat them by 12 points was a really good win for us. We played well, shot the ball well, defended well, and executed our game plan. To come away with a bronze medal, it was a successful weekend.” Talia Barron said “it was an emotional day either way for all of us, but I think it made it that much more special to end on a win.” The Colts (coached by Janice Laing) included Stephanie Laing, Jillian Laing, Halle Gjerlaug, Brynn Toews, Delainey Zdan, Taytem Rath, Courtney Kane-Rissling, Mackenzie Park, Katelyn Unreiner, Kassidy Rae, Bajien Jul, Jaden Brown, Reeese Bourassa, Kyana Kolody, Brooklyn Schafer, Hailey Hoffart, Emily Klein, Claire Holt and Megan Morrison.
