We wanted them to move the ball around on offensive and try to get it inside. We were shooting from outside and they weren’t going in, so we had to change our strategy.” Stingers coach Rick Campbell said “the referees took away much of the game and it rattled us. We didn’t do a good job handling that. We weren’t able to block that out.”

Camrose coach Neil Johnston told the Red Deer Advocate that “they like to slow it dow a little, but we knew if we full-court pressed and kept at them every chance we had, we’d be tough to beat. These guys have found a way to win all season.” Chargers coach Allen Gallup said “their press is awesome. It got to a point when they came through and rose up to the occasion, and we slipped a little.” Berry said “we’re a run-and-gun style team and that’s the way we like to play. We feel we can wear a team out, especially when they like to play a slower-paced game. … This strictly a team victory. With our style of play, that’s the way it has to be. Everyone contributes.” Camrose led 45-41 at the half. Wes Harnson drained a trey with 4:45 to play that gave the Trojans a 71-61 lead.
