I didn’t have to do a thing on the weekend, I just had to coach and that helped so much, so we had to win it for them.” The Forettes led 42-24 at the half. “I’ve got a lot of competitors on my team, girls who don’t like to lose very much,” Magneson said. “I’ve got 13 girls on the team and they all saw the floor in the final. They expect to win or do well just because of the teams in the past. … It [winning] doesn’t get that old.” Magneson told the Medicine Hat News that “it was nice that we played well enough to win considering the amount of work every body put into it.”
