In the final, the Ashmont Falcons defeated Pincher Creek St. Michael’s Dragonettes 29-26 in overtime. Falcons coach Rand Rasmussen earned two medals in the provincials, a gold with the girls and a silver with the boys. St. Michael’s coach Dale Wentz said his team found itself in foul trouble and two starters, centre Amela Melo and Lesia Hlady, fouled out. Hlady was the team’s top scorer with 7 points. Ashmont outscored St. Michael’s 11-4 from the foul line.
