In the last quarterfinal, the 4th-seeded Fairview St. Thomas More Kodiaks whipped the Edmonton Parkland Immanuel Christian Penguins 76-54.
In the semis, the 6th-seeded Rosemary Rockets defeated 2nd-seeded Hay Lakes Tigers 82-72.
In the other semi, the top-seeded Foremost Falcons defeated the 4th-seeded Fairview St. Thomas More Kodiaks 70-67.
In the bronze medal match, the Fairview St. Thomas More Kodiaks edged the 2nd-seeded Hay Lakes Tigers 55-53.
In the final, the 6th-seeded Rosemary Rockets upset the top-seeded Foremost Falcons 80-78. “The guys played really well,” said Falcons coach Ray Rumpel. “I was very happy we had a good weekend. Entering the year our goal was to make the provincial final. But our starting centre decided he didn’t want to play this year, so it quickly turned into a rebuilding year. “We got off to a very slow start, but played our best basketball at the end of the year. We had to go deep into our bench in the final. We had Grade 10s on the floor in a provincial final.” Lee Kern paced the Rockets with 22. Dustin Robinson led the Falcons with 26.
