Barb Stewart paced the Lancers with 10. The Lancers led 7-0 early but soon folded their tents. The Lancers (coached by Gwen Bright) also included Sandy Bradshaw, Val Koshman, Symie, Dougan, Hebert, Tracy, Debolt, Blandheim, Meckle.
The Calgary William Aberhart Trojans edged the Leduc Tigers 41-39. The Tigers included Chris Olsen, Judy MacGregor, Neimac, Ekstrom, Behiels, Nelman, Brown, Reeves, Deilmer, Bienert, Grapeszline and Klak.
The Medicine Hat Co-eds edged the Edmonton Queen Elizabeth Knights 34-32. The Knights included Anderson, Marar, Brown, Sheppard, Gibbs, Skworoda, Vasey, Davidiuk, Schimmel and Helder.
In the last quarterfinal, the Red Deer Lindsay Thurber Kittens nipped the Calgary Crescent Heights Cowboys 42-39 as Diane MacDonald scored 14 and Wendy German 12. Joan Blight led the Cowboys with 14. Bev Edwards added 13. The Cowboys included Roberts, Derhoff, Modweil, Simpson, Roblaski, Dunn and M Edwards.
In the semis, the Lethbridge Collegiate Institute Clipper Queens thrashed the Red Deer Lindsay Thurber Kittens 83-41 as Maxine Knox scored 13, Chari Cohen 9, Joanne Johnson 6, Shirley Knox 5, Val Orr 5, Sue Balfour 4, Carolyn Pickett 4, Kathy West 3, Ineke Lohuis 2, Joan Foster 1 and Shelley Whitelaw 1, while Bernice Metcalfe and Sandy Steed were scoreless.
