In the Edmonton finals, Victoria High dispatched Ross Sheppard 24-19 to cap an undefeated season at (6-0-2). The Redmen led 9-5 after one quarter and 11-9 at the half. Tatts Smith led the Redmen with 10. Ester Miller added 4 and Jill Bradford 4. The Redmen also included Chris Fithen. Nancy Fay led the Thunderbirds with 5. Lynda Hook added 4, Bev Richard 4 and Wendy Brown 4. Victoria High opted not to enter the provincials. In the quarterfinals, held in Fort Saskatchewan, the Fort Saskatchewan Stingers defeated Grande Prairie 33-13 as Carole Thate scored 20, Judy Lees 6, Donna Bryks 5 and Marilyn Graf 5.
The Lethbridge Collegiate Institute Clipper Queens dumped the Rimbey Spartans 50-23 as Arlene Baxter scored 18 and Sharon Trieber 12. The Spartans included Nadyne Thill, Marlene Bierback, Sandra Freeman.
The Morrin Mustangs clipped the Altario x 50-38 as Pat Ridley scored 38. Rosemaree Long led Altario with 20.
In the last quarterfinal, the Ardmore Huskies dispatched the Brooks Buffaloes 29-18 as Phyllis Johnson scored 10. Bonnie Lihaven led the Buffaloes with 8.
In the semis, the Lethbridge Collegiate Institute Clipper Queens whipped the Ardmore Huskies 63-23.
In the other semi, the Fort Saskatchewan Stingers defeated the Morrin Mustangs 34-22 as Sandra Young scored 13 and Judy Lees 11. Pat Ridley led the Mustangs with 8.
In the final, the Lethbridge Collegiate Institute Clipper Queens defeated the Fort Saskatchewan Stingers 42-31 in a reversal of the 1963 final. The Clipper Queens led 8-3, 20-11 and 32-21 at the quarters. Arlene Baxter paced the Clipper Queens with 20. Sharon Trieber added 14, Eleanor Lester 3 and Janet Santa 3. Donna Bryks led the Stingers with 19. Pat Young added 5.
