In what may have been the Calgary city semis or the Calgary city finals, and what was one the finest examples of incoherent reporting in history, the Calgary Herald indicated that Crescent Heights emerged as city champs by defeating Western Canada. After the teams tied 17-17 in game two, the Herald reported that each team had won one game, necessitating a third contest. Four days later, the Herald reported that game two wasn’t the semis, but rather was the final. In the other semi, the Barons Chinooks defeated the Wrentham Whizzes 40-17; x-x (Total: x-x). In game one, Barons prevailed 40-17. The score was knotted at 2 after one quarter. Barons led 18-16 at the half and 26-11 after three quarters. R Lunde paced the Chinooks with 27.
