In the quarterfinals, held in Picture Butte, the host Picture Butte Sugar Queens defeated the Onoway Sneakers 30-21.

The Vikings Vixens dispatched the Hanna Hawks 41-31. The Hawks included Donna Anderson.

The Elk Point F.G. Miller Crusaders (then the Pipers) dusted the Peace River Glenmary Saints 41-26. The Saints (coached by Raymond St. Martin, manager Dorothy Roeleveld, assistant manager Karen Duperron, statistician Peggy Murphy) included Patty McLeod, Jane Murphy, Heather Murray, Holly Lorenz, Elizabeth Dollevoet, Mary Casey, Susan McLeod, Kathy McLeod, Adele Lecoursierre, Karen Novodvorski and Mary Lynn Schroppe.

In the last quarterfinal, the Trochu Valley Blue Jays edged the Delburne Trojanettes 34-31 as Elaine Frere scored 12 and Donna Peterson 8. Sheila Manning led the Trojanettes with 8. Jane Roberts added 6. The Trojanettes also included Linda Carratt, Sylvia Glover, Gayle Schalin.

In the semis, the Picture Butte Sugar Queens clubbed the Elk Point F.G. Miller Pipers 35-18.

In the other semi, the Viking Vixens defeated edged the Trochu Valley Blue Jays 34-30.

In the bronze medal match, the Elk Point F.G. Miller Pipers 43-28.

In the final, the host Picture Butte Sugar Queens defeated the Viking Vixens 25-20.
