In the quarterfinals, the Lacombe Composite Ramettes dusted Fairview 90-28 as Chris Graves scored 44 and Pam Tonneson 14.
The Lethbridge Sir Winston Churchill Griffins defeated the Camrose Trojans 41-34.
The Mannville Royals edged the Vulcan Royalettes 26-20.
In the last quarterfinal, the Fort Saskatchewan Stingers defeated the Calgary Queen Elizabeth Knights 27-18.
In the semis, the Lacombe Ramettes dispatched the Mannville Royals 49-30.
In the other semi, the Lethbridge Sir Winston Churchill Griffins defeated the Fort Saskatchewan Stingers 48-28.
No bronze medal match played.
In the final, the Lacombe Composite Ramettes defeated the Lethbridge Sir Winston Churchill Griffins 43-35 after leading 23-22 at the half. Chris Graves paced the Ramettes with 17. Beth Rainforth added 16. Ramettes coach Lois Farrington told the Red Deer Advocate that “the only tough game was the final but it wasn’t any tougher than the regular CWASSA (Central Western Alberta Schools Athletic Association) league play.”
