In the quarterfinals, held in Drumheller, the Coaldale Kate Andrews Larks defeated the Grande Prairie Pandairs 50-27 as Minnie Van Dieren scored 15, Myrna Allert 14 and Leona Voth 10. The Pandairs (coached by Mrs. Hans Intscher) included Donna Henning, Alick Morck, Vickie Kimmette, Diane Pender, Lorraine Cooke, Janie Watson, Leslie Ayre, Diane Bergum, Anne Alloway, Darlene Repka, Ruth Alloway, Rose Stepanko and Bette Tissington.

 The Fort Saskatchewan Stingers dispatched Stettler William E. Hay Wildcats 22-13 as Brenda Strong scored 14 and Terry Speer 8. Amy Kelly led the Wildcats with 10. Marion Nagel added 3. The Wildcats also included Dawn Stewart, Pat Lamden, Sharon Klechko.

 The Elk Point F.G. Miller Crusaders defeated Strathmore 33-30. Strathmore included Gaylene Berry.

In the last quarterfinal, Camrose Lutheran clipped the Foremost Falcons 40-33. The Falcons included Joyce Dillenbeck, Debbie Kraft.

In the semis, the Coaldale Kate Andrews Larks stomped the Elk Point F.G. Miller Crusaders 38-26 as Linda Voth scored 17 and Myrna Allert 8.

In the other semi, the Fort Saskatchewan Stingers dispatched Camrose Lutheran 32-21.

There is no evidence of a bronze medal playoff.

In the final, the Coaldale Kate Andrews Larks dispatched the Fort Saskatchewan Stingers 24-20 as Leona Voth scored 8 and Linda Allert 7. Terry Speer paced the Stingers with 9. The Larks finished (29-4) on the season.
