The Fort Saskatchewan Stingers dispatched thrashed the Beaverlodge Royals 36-13 as Brenda Strong scored 16. Jean Nasedkin and Martha Scheitzer each scored 4 to pace the Royals (coached by Rex Marshall).
The Rimbey Spartans defeated the Pincher Creek Matthew Halton Hornets 36-31 as Nadine Thill scored 11 and Marlene Beierbach 10. Colleen McClain paced the Hawks with 19. The Hornets also included Linda Dow.
In the last quarterfinal, the Drumheller Dynos clubbed the Wetaskiwin Sabres 57-33 as Wendy Pennycook scored 21 and Pam Hartog 18. Nina Yuili led the Sabres with 7. The Sabres also included Gloria Roth, Millicent Eliason, Marlene Reinch.
In the semis, the Fort Saskatchewan Stingers clubbed the Drumheller Dynamites 45-18 as Linda McDonald scored 11. Wendy Pennycook paced the Dynos with 10.
In the other semi, the Rimbey Spartans edged the Medicine Hat Crescent Heights Chinooks 32-30 as Marlene Bierbach scored 10. Karen King led the Chinooks with 10. Carol Evans added 10.
In the final, the Fort Saskatchewan Stingers dispatched the Rimbey Spartans 21-15 as Brenda Strong scored 6. *Marlene Beierbach led the Spartans with 7.
