The Edmonton Christian Lions edged the Three Hills Prairie High Sabres 69-64.
In the last quarterfinal, the Devon John Maland Wildcats crushed the Kitscoty Cavaliers 84-61.
In the semis, the Canmore Lawrence Grassi Crusaders dispatched the Devon John Maland Wildcats x-x.
In the other semi, the Standoff Kainai Warriors defeated the Edmonton Christian Lions x-x.
In the bronze medal match, the Edmonton Christian Lions thumped the Devon John Maland Wildcats 86-72.
In the final, the host Canmore Lawrence Grassi Crusaders beat the Standoff Kainai (formerly St. Mary’s) Warriors 85-62 as P.J. Robertson scored 42. The win captivated the town, with 1,000 fans showing up the final. “For this community, it was a big, big event,” Crusaders coach Glenn Nelson told the Calgary Herald. Canmore finished (34-3) on the season.
