“After the Final Rankings were posted, the 4A boys rankings were appealed by a 4A ASAA member school. The boys basketball commissioner consulted with the 4A boys ranking committee and the girls basketball commissioner, here is the decision: Ross Sheppard boys team has been added into the Final 4A Boys rankings as an honourable mention and St. Francis (Calgary), which was an honourable mention, has been removed from those Final Rankings. This decision has resulted in a change in the originally posted wildcard and vacant berth allocations for 4A boys to the following: Wildcard # 1: South Wildcard #2: Calgary Wildcard #3: Edmonton Edmonton now has four teams in the rankings and does not vacate its wildcard. As a result, the Edmonton Zone receives four berths (three zone berths, one wildcard), and the South Central Zone will receive one berth in 4A boys basketball,” the ASAA announced.
