In the quarterfinals, held in Edmonton, the Lethbridge Collegiate Institute Rams crushed the Spruce Grove Panthers 102-76 as Todd Herget scored 22, Rod Murphy 17 and Chris Newman 13. The Rams led 51-29 at the half.

        The Edmonton Harry Ainlay Titans defeated whipped the St. Albert Paul Kane Blues 85-63.  

        The Calgary Henry Wise Wood Warriors defeated dispatched the Edmonton Jasper Place Rebels 84-74. The Rebels (coached by Al Melnychuk) included Gary Wilson, Colin Russel, Howie Anglin. 

        In the last quarterfinal, the Calgary Sir Winston Churchill Bulldogs dusted the Lethbridge Catholic Central Cougars 74-52. Mike Lynagh paced the Cougars with 24. Dan Martyna and Jim Kaminski each added 7. The Cougars (coached by Mike Girbav)

        In the semis, the Calgary Henry Wise Wood Warriors clipped the Lethbridge Collegiate Institute Rams 85-79. “Todd Herget fouled out, then Rod Murphy fouled out and then Seth Adler fouled out. We just kind of ran out of gas with those guys out of the lineup,” Rams coach Joey Shackelford told the Lethbridge Herald. “They knew where our weakness was and they exploited it.”

        In the other semi, the Calgary Sir Winston Churchill Bulldogs defeated the Edmonton Harry Ainlay Titans 79-71.

        In the bronze medal match, the Edmonton Harry Ainlay Titans thumped the Lethbridge Collegiate Institute Rams 96-76 as Brian Halsey scored 18. The score was knotted at 44 at the half. “We gave it a good shot, but the guys just ran out of gas. The mind said go but the body said no. If we would have been healthy, I could almost guarantee we would have been in the final,” Rams coach Joey Shackelford told the Lethbridge Herald. The Rams (coached by Shackelford, manager Chad London) included Benjy Bullock, Todd Herget, Rod Murphy, Seth Adler, Chris Newman, Glen Bowie, Steve Earl, Daryl Moser, Trent Watters and Jason Fox.

In the final, the Calgary Henry Wise Wood Warriors edged the Calgary Sir Winston Churchill Bulldogs 92-89 as Mike Frisby scored 34. James Taylor led the Bulldogs with 16. The Warriors from a 16-point deficit with 10 minutes to play. Wise Wood coach Skip Morgan told the Calgary Herald that “we played a much better game (than in the Calgary city final). … The guys didn’t make those costly mistakes at the end of the game. They also shot exceptionally well from the foul line. We went 77% in the second half.”
