In game three, the Comets took the series and the provincial title with a 35-28 victory after leading 13-11 at the half. Max Fairbanks and Lee Fairbanks each scored 8 to pace the Comets. Philip Redd added 7, Pete Whitbeck 4, Delbert Gough 5, Tom Holmes 2 and Sam Stevens 2, while Woodruff Wood was scoreless. Gordon Gregson led the Cougars with 13.         The Comets were declared provincial champs by the Alberta Amateur Basketball Association after no northern challenger emerged. Raymond’s senior Comets and junior Mustangs team completed the improbable double of winning both the provincial A and B crowns.
