The Calgary city league featured six teams, including Commercial, Western Canada, Crescent Heights-1, Crescent Heights-2, East Calgary and Central. Commercial was undefeated in regular season play. In the finals, Western Canada defeated Commercial 36-38; 34-25 (Total: 70-63). …………………………………………………… In game two, Western Canada took the series with a 34-25 win as playing coach Don McKenzie scored 17, Dick Reeves 12, Harry Porteous 4 and Bill Pentland 1, while Jack Todd, Jim McQueen, Allen Stewart, Bill Dingle and John Pitman were scoreless. Western Canada also included Bert Cayley. Cosburn led Commercial with 11. Oddy added 6, Pow 5 and Nicholl 3, while McCracken, Moore and Spurway were scoreless.

In the Southern League finals, the Raymond Comets defeated the Magrath Zeniths 35-28; 35-25 (2g-0)

        In game one, the Comets prevailed 34-26 after leading 16-14 at the half. Paul Fairbanks paced the Comets with 13. S Redd added 11, W Shaw 4, L Naldor 3, E Piepgrass 2 and A Evans 1, while A Piepgrass and M Heggie were scoreless. George Hamilton led the Zeniths with 8. O Toomer added 6, L Dickson 5, R Bourne 4, C Merkley 4, M Miller 2, while H Passey, T Blumel, M Wood and K Gibb were scoreless.

        Game two was delayed nearly three weeks because of an outbreak of scarlet fever in Raymond. When it was eventually played, the Comets prevailed 35-25 to sweep the series. Redd paced the Comets with 14. Nalder added 8, Fairbanks 7, Shaw 4 and Heggie 2. Toomer paced the Zeniths with 9. Miller added 8, Dickson 4, Hamilton 2 and R Bourne 2.

No challenges were made from other parts of the province so the Alberta Amateur Basketball Association declared the Comets the provincial titlists.
