In the final, the John Abbott Islanders defeated the Montmorency Nomades 57-55. The Nomades led 29-15 in the first half. The Islanders narrowed the margin to 31-26 at the half and opened the second half with a 26-2 run to take a 41-31 lead. Point guard Cynthia Santamaria nailed treys on three successive trips up the floor during the run. The Nomades rallied to knot the score at 54 in the final minutes of play. But point guard Dalya Delmar-Greenberg stole the ball and hit a pair of free throws to ice the win. Kelly Schumacher led the Islanders with 14 points, 16 boards and 7 blocks. Shannon Murray added 14 points and 13 boards.
After the season, Montmorency coach Pierre Trudeau was fired and replaced by Pascal Jobin, who played division II NCAA ball and was coaching high school powerhouse Page-Concordia.
