In April/1971, the Prairie Athletic Conference was formally established. It had been operating informally in men’s basketball for three years. The founding members were Briercrest Bible, Luther, Canadian Bible and the Saskatchewan Technical Institute.
In game two of the semis, the Kelsey Institute Amaruks defeated Moose Jaw 57-49 as Terry McDonald scored 16 and Pat Harrison 14. Kelsey led 35-16 at the half. Barb Kane paced Moose Jaw with 26.
In the finals, Kelsey Institute defeated Saskatchewan Technical Institute 29-44; x-x.
