In the semis, the Canadian Bible College Rise dusted Briercrest Bible 90-66.
In the other semi, the Moose Jaw SIAST-Pallier Panthers edged the Hepburn Bethany Bible Eagles 107-105 in overtime.
In the final, the Canadian Bible Rise defeated the Moose Jaw SIAST-Palliser Panthers 124-104 as Justin Hubert scored 22, Michael Drewlo 29, Tim McMillan 16 and Russell Janzen 15. Hubert told the Regina Leader-Post that “we were going to run them all night long. This was the last game of the year. We had played every game this year to get to this point and we gave it everything we had.” Drewlo said “the first half was the best half we’ve played all year.” The Rise opened with a 10-0 run and led 69-37 at the half. Terry Parchewski led the Panthers with 36. Andrew Strina added 32. Panthers post Dale Zemlak played with an ankle sprain suffered in the semis and scored only 4.
