        In mid-January, Kelsey announced that it was suspending its men’s program for the season. The Saskatoon Star-Phoenix reported that “the decision was made after consulting with basketball coach Kelly Bowers in regards to the level of interest and commitment in continuing as a competitive unit.”

        In the sole semi, the Saskatchewan Technical Institute Beavers dispatched the Canadian Bible College Crusaders 74-69 as Kent Reesor scored 22, Lindsay Tolley 15 and Don Craig 12. Mitch Curby led the Crusaders with 18. Abe Ingram added 14 and Kim Cairns 14.

        In the final, the Briercrest Bible Clippers defeated the Saskatchewan Technical Institute Beavers 70-63.
