In the quarterfinals, the 5th-seeded Camosun Chargers stunned the host 4th-seeded Quest Kermodes 67-58. Costly turnovers by Quest led to a 34-30 Chargers lead at the half. Caitlin Marshall drained a pair of treys to open the second quarter as Camosun stretched its lead to as many as 19. Although Hilary Young rallied the Kermodes to within three, but Marshall took control of the game with some key drives to the basket. She was named player of the game with Quest’s Delainee Behrns.         In the other quarterfinal, the 3rd-seeded host Capilano Blues stomped the 6th-seeded Kwantlen Eagles, 84-60. The Blues jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter, outscoring KPU 24-6 in a period that featured 11 combined fouls. The Eagles’ defensive adjustments were unable to slow their opponents down in the second quarter and Capilano carried their advantage into the break, 43-19. It was more of the same in the third quarter where the Blues scored the first nine points unanswered. Daigneault’s 13 points through three put Capilano in front 64-35. Jeannie Yngreso’s scoring and distribution in the fourth quarter could do little to erase the deficit as Capilano continued to score from a variety of sources. KPU’s Yngreso and the Blues’ Jennifer Palma were named players of the game.
