        In the quarterfinals, held at Douglas College, the 6th-seeded Thompson Rivers Sun Demons upset the 3rd-seeded Northern British Columbia Timberwolves 54-50 in overtime. Sun Demons centre Lisa Peterson dominated the paint, blocking 11 shots. But Timberwolves post Christine Hamilton kept working the blocks and the game came down to two shots in the last ten seconds of the game. Both were three-point attempts, the last coming from Hamilton. A foul shot put the game out of reach for the Sun Demons. The Timberwolves (coached by Loralyn Murdoch) also included Lindsay Anderson, Rupi Gill, Christina Neufeld.

        In the other quarterfinal, the 4th-seeded Langara Falcons defeated the 5th-seeded Okanagan Lakers 57-52. The Lakers (coached by Heather Semeniuk) included Schuylah Merrick, Andrea Delong, Theresa Knipe, Brianne Hathaway, Paula Demay.

        In the semis, the 2nd-seeded Capilano Blues defeated the Thompson Rivers Sun Demons 59-42.

        In the other semi, the Fraser Valley Cascades defeated the Langara Falcons 53-43. Jamie Born paced the Falcons with 23, while nabbing 13 boards. Cascades coach Al Tuchscherer told the Abbotsford News that “it was as good a game as I’ve seen her play.”

        In the bronze medal match, the 3rd-seeded Langara Falcons edged the 6th-seeded Thompson Rivers (Cariboo) Sun Demons 56-55. Laura Clark led the Falcons with 13 points. The Sun Demons (coached by Sukh Heer, assisted by Kirstine Niemi) included Tosha Hassel, Lisa Peterson, Tanya Brasseur, Randi DeGagne, Kelly Watson, Maria Waring, Denise Kraljevic, Morgan Stoner, Melissa Mearon and Ashlee Paulson.

        In the final, the top-seeded Fraser Valley Cascades dumped the Capilano Blues 55-37 as Lauren Alonzo scored 13 and Cassi Born 13. Cascades coach Al Tuchsherer told the abbotsford News “that was our intention from the beginning of the year – to get to where we are now. … You look up and down our line-up and it’s a veteran-laden team, with lots of all-stars. I just let them their thing out there.”
