        In the semis, the Langara Falcons dispatched the Thompson Rivers Sun Demons 81-59 as Cheryl Kelsey scored 26.

        In the other semi, the New Caledonia Carriers defeated the Capilano Blues x-x.

        In the bronze medal match, the Capilano Blues defeated the Cariboo (Thompson Rivers) Sun Demons x-x. The Sun Demons (coached by Debbie Steele) included Sharon Fischer, Caroline Payne, Monica Lee, Wilma Schuring, Valerie Scafe, Cheryl Grant, Debbie Janning, Patty Forsyth, Karen Boyd, Sandra Ferguson, Lynn Tamaki, coach Debbie Steele

        In the final, the Langara Falcons stunned the top-seeded New Caledonia Kodiaks 53-43 while avenging three regular season losses. Cheryl Kelsey, who’d started the season enrolled at U.C.L.A., paced the Falcons with 24. Cathy Loukas added 14. Kodiaks coach Bill Lambert told the Prince George Citizen that “we knew their big girls wouldn’t hurt us on offence but we didn’t count on them being so strong on defence. But when you’re going against the best shooter in North America (Cheryl Kelsey), it’s tough.” Kelsey had started the season at U.C.L.A. but then dropped out and opted to play for the Falcons for a season before enrolling at Oregon State. Linda Hoek led the Kodiaks with 16. Linda MacKay added 13.

        After the season, the British Columbia Institute of Technology administration axed funding for athletic programs and folded the Cougars.
