        In the quarterfinals, the Langara Falcons clipped the Trinity Western Spartans 70-65. The Spartans led 37-29 at the half but the Falcons ripped off a 15-2 run after the break to take command. Glenn Pascoe paced the Spartans with 18. Mike Johnson added 13. The Spartans (coached by Tim Teer, assistant Ben Fliestra, manager Sam Rehman, trainer Stephanie Schoffelmeer) also included Jeremy Hall, Dan Beebe, Steve Redekop, Dean McClelland, Andrew Willms, Andrew Kowalenko, Gary Chapman, Matt Loveday, Andrew Hayes and Nate Smith.

        In the other quarterfinal, the Capilano Blues dispatched the Okanagan Lakers 86-80.

        In the semis, the Malaspina Warriors edged the Capilano Blues 62-59 as Billy Billman scored 14, Donnie Fitzpatrick 12 and Keith Gibson 9.

        In the other semi, the Langara Falcons clipped the Thompson Rivers Sun Demons 77-71.

        In the bronze medal match, the Cariboo (now Thompson Rivers) Sun Demons outlasted the Capilano Blues 107-98.

        In the final, the Malaspina Mariners defeated the Langara Falcons 88-64 as Gary Edgar scored 25, Donnie Fitzpatrick 14 and Derek Wiseman 11. Langara led 40-37 at the half but the Mariners went on a 34-9 run to open the second half. Mariners coach Mark Simpson told the Nanaimo Daily News that “I think we were a little tight in the first half and we didn’t play well. After the break, the guys just turned it up.” Navi Sekhon paced the Falcons with 27.
