Royals coach Steve Beauchamp told the Vancouver Sun that “no, I didn’t think it would be this easy. … Our defence set the tone for us tonight. We wanted to get in on their shooters – Eric Termanson and Pin Perovic and keep pressure on them when they brought up the ball.” Blues coach Neil Chester said “they put a lot of pressure on us and we didn’t handle it very well. Our shot selection early was not very good either.”

In the other semi, the Fraser Valley Cascades defeated the Langara Falcons 67-64 as Nelson Spring scored 18, Steve Trask 18, Willis Parnell 12 and Sean Beasley 12. Kevin Korol paced the Falcons with 24.

There is no evidence of a bronze medal match.
