In the semis, the Thompson Rivers Sun Demons defeated the Douglas Royals 67-63 as Greg Le Franc scored 19 and Peter Kymta 19. Douglas was led by Brent Henderson 22. Brian Englund added 10. Royals coach Steve Beauchamp told the Vancouver Sun that “it was a good effort but I guess our youth and inexperience showed in the end. We were so full of adrenalin that it took half the game to get going.”

In the other semi, the Langara (Vancouver College) Falcons defeated the Capilano Blues 80-79 in overtime as Marty Lutz scored 22, Gurpeet Sangha 19 and Gareth Davies 16. Dave Sidhu paced the Blues with 22. Sean Campbell added 20, Marc Daius 14 and Steve Betts 3. The Blues played without leading scorer Mark Marter, who was sidelined by a broken ankle.

In the bronze medal match, the Douglas Royals pounded the Capilano Blues 89-65 as Darrel Digby scored 14, Brian Englund 12 and Brian Brown 12. The Blues included Mark Marter, Dave Sidhu, Sean Campbell, Marc Daius.

 In the final, the Langara Falcons edged the Thompson Rivers Sun Demons 83-79 as tourney MVP Gareth Davies scored 26, Jay Derksen 26 and Dave Healy 13. The Sun Demons were led by Greg Le Franc’s 21 points.

        After the season, Fraser Valley hires Mission High coach Brian Fichter to replace Sam Vandermeulen, who was at the helm for two years.
