Final regular season standings: Langara (9-1); Trinity Western (9-1?)

In the final regular season game, the Trinity Western Spartans defeated Royal Roads 103-59. Royal Roads (coached by Major Crabbe, manager Randy Bablitz) included Simon Bekkering, Phil Eivemark, Paris Morfopoulos, Bob Jensen, Ken Tanner, Jim Bureaux, Brian Edlund, Brian Akitt and Reinold Zimmer.

In its final regular season game, the Langara Falcons defeated Royal Roads 88-72. Phil Eivemark led Royal Roads with 20. The win gives Langara a (9-1) record and the right to “challenge” Trinity Western for the title, according to the Langley Advance.

In the sudden-death game subsequently held to determine the province’s representative to the Four-West championships, the Trinity Western Spartans dusted the Langara Falcons 86-61. The Spartans led 42-36 at the half and broke it open with a 10-0 run early in the second half.
