Carrie Lanning paced the Scouts with 17. Michelle Will added 11, Rolanda Coe 7, Arvio Rouse 5, Rochelle Rogers 4, Melissa Lyttleton 3 and Kally Behnan 2. Cummings was chosen player of the game for the Hawks, while Lanning earned the laurels for the Scouts.

        In the other semi, the Fanshawe Falcons defeated the Mohawk Mountaineers 53-38 as Jackie Morgan scored 16, Wendy Haasen 14, Becky Armstrong 12, Tracey Murray 4, Becky Huntley 4, Karen Campbell 2 and Kim Morgan 1. Tara Murray led the Mountaineers with 11. Stacey Adams added 9, Andrea Brewster 7, Kelly Buchanan 6, Marcy Hutchinson 3 and Beth Watson 3. Haasen was chosen player of the game, while Buchanan earned the laurels for the Mountaineers.

        In the bronze medal match, the Seneca Scouts defeated the Mohawk Mountaineers 62-55 as Carrie Lanning scored 16, Michelle Hill 13, Rochelle Rogers 8, Arvian Rouse 8, Kelly Behnan 6, Melissa Lyttleton 6 and Rolanda Coe 5. Kelly Buchanan paced the Mountaineers with 13. Marcy Hutchinson added 11, Andrea Brewster 10, Tara Murray 8, Stacey Adams 7, Beth Watson 4 and Lara Matchuck 2. Lanning was player of the game for the Scouts, while Buchanan earned the laurels for the Mountaineers, who also included Anna Santucci, Michelle Brennan, Carlotta Thomas, Desa Castaldi, Shannon Maude and Shelley Ryder.

        In the final, the Humber Hawks defeated the Fanshawe Falcons 90-79. Denise Cummings was player of the game for the Lady Hawks. Becky Huntley was chosen player of the game for the Falcons. Tournament MVP Cummings led the Hawks with 25. “We talked to her before the game about playing big game situations and she sure came through today in a big game situation,” Humber Coach Jim Henderson told The Coven. Cummings said “I was thinking about last year’s game and not

taking the ball to them enough. I’m just glad we stayed together as a team.” Denise Perrier said “it took us awhile to get over the nerves, we weren’t clicking early on and we were really slow on defense (today). We let them dominate, we played their game,” in the opening minutes. But the Hawks zone press began to yield dividends in the second quarter as they ripped off an 8-2 run to take a 38-36 lead into the lockers. Denise Perrier added 20 for the Hawks, Tara Petrachenko 19, Janetta Paris 8, Collen Gray 7, Lucrishua Grant 6, Seon White 3 and Heather Pace 2. Huntley paced the Falcons with 24. Jackie Morgan added 21, Wendy Haasen 10, Jennifer Granger 7, Becky Armstrong 5, Karen Campbell 4, Kim Morgan 4 and Tracey Murray 4.
