In the other semi, the Humber Hawks defeated the Seneca Scouts 59-45.

        In the bronze medal match, the Seneca Scouts defeated the Lambton Lions 65-48. The Lions included Mary Beth Wighton, Lisa Mallette, Tina Bryant, Kathy Arcuri, Elisa Lisella, Shelly Dicker, Angie Daws, Pam Gonzalez, Jennifer Scheerer, Christine Roschart, Sue Johns, Sandra Brooks and Chris Forsyth.

        In the final, the Mohawk Mountaineers defeated the Humber Hawks 48-35 as Wendy Bromfield scored 25. “Our shooting just wasn’t up to par,” Hawks coach Linda Versage told The Coven. “Our offence lacked a little bit, we didn’t finish our plays off and when we did shoot and miss, we didn’t go in strong enough for a rebound. Mohawk just played really well. … Wendy Bromfield had a great game.” Liz Murphy led the Hawks with 25. Denise Perrier added 19. Mohawk led 22-16 at the half. Versage said Hawk star Denice Cummings “wasn’t really on. But I think that’s just because Mohawk came out and played really well.” Bromfield was chosen player of the game for the Mountaineers, while Perrier earned the laurels for the Hawks.
