        In the quarterfinals, the St. Clair Saints defeated Sir Sandford Fleming-Peterborough Knights 73-40 as Annette Bondy scored 24 and grabbed 16 boards. Leslie Poisson added 21 and Bonnie Rigney 13, as well as 11 assists. St. Clair led 32-22 at the half. Cheryl Coombes paced Sir Sandford Fleming with 19 points. The Knights also included Barb Goddard, Kathy Schweir, Janet Richardson, Janice Crone, Diane Hayes, Cheryl Argue, Shirley Schevers, Karen Sharpe, N Chamberlain, Kathy Watson and B Hillier.

In the other quarterfinal, the St. Lawrence-Kingston Vikings defeated the Niagara Knights 59-46 by creating match-up problems by moving guard Leigh Fitzpatrick to forward in the second half, where she scored 13 of her game-high 21 points. The Knights included Carolyn St. Angelo, Terry Cushman, Cindy Deterling, Betty Van Ruyven, Fran Russel, Liz Nieuwesteeg, Lori Mavran, Chris Metler, Rita Daveikis, Gina Klaver, Val Nieuwesteeg, Brenda Banett and Carrie Metcalf.

        In the semis, the Seneca Wampums nipped the St. Clair Saints 46-45. Leading 27-26, Seneca went on an 11-0 run to appear to take command. But St. Clair rallied to tie it at 40. Loretta Dransch led Seneca with 14. Karen Freund added 10. Annette Bondy scored 21 and grabbed 20 boards for St. Clair. Cathy Rawlings added 11, Leslie Poisson 9, Shelley Pook 3 and Anne Marie Staley 2. Saints coach Bob Weepers told the Windsor Star that “when you lose a game like this, the mistakes you make early in the game are more magnified at the end. I thought we did everything we had to do to win the game.”

        In the other semi, the Mohawk Mountaineers defeated the St. Lawrence-Kingston Vikings 44-42.

        In the bronze medal match, the St. Clair Saints defeated the St. Lawrence-Kingston Vikings 54-44 after leading 27-23 at the half. Annette Bondy paced the Saints with 23, while nabbing 19 boards. Leslie Poisson scored 10. Leigh Fitzpatrick paced the Vikings with 13. Rosemary Jose added 13. The Vikings also included Kim Porter, Josie Bekkedam, Donna McCool, Chris Righetti, Kim Donaldson, Barb MacFarlane, Brenda Cybulski, Susanne Muller, Marie Compeau and Anne Senechal.

        In the final, Leslie Oliphant scored 13 to lead the Mohawk Mountaineers past the Seneca Wampums 43-36. Sandy Normoyle led Seneca with 18.
