        In the semis, the St. Clair Saints defeated the George Brown Huskies 72-36 as Debbie Cowgill scored 21, Kerry Birch 16, Debbie Ross 10, Gail Matte 8, Marietta Whittal 6, Irene Skrzydlewski 5, Nancy Mele 4 and Denise Pinsonneault 2. Saints coach Bob Weepers told the Windsor Star that “it was a good team victory. Everybody contributed offensively and we played very well defensively too. And as you can tell from the score, it really wasn’t much of a contest.” Nancy Lainson paced the Huskies with 15. Sharon Ashley added 8, Deanna Oliver 8 and Julie Stines 5.

In the other semi, the Seneca Wampums defeated the Mohawk Mountaineers 56-28 as Leslie Dalcin scored 26, Carol Gowans 13, Loretta Dransch 12, Anne Dodson 3 and Janet Pearen 2. Vida Rickus led Mohawk with 12. Barb Fraser added 7, Janet Pal 3, Janet Doerksen 2, Delia Hall 2, Brenda Neville 2 and Karen Martin 1.

In the bronze medal match, the Mohawk Mountaineers defeated the George Brown Huskies 60-35 as Delia Hall scored 21, Barb Fraser 15, Vaid Rickus 8, Susan Males 8, Linda Kurtz 5, Janet Doerksen 2 and Jane Pal 2. Deanne Oliver paced the Huskies with 16. Nancy Lainson added 7, Sharon Ashley 5, Julie Stines 4, Darlene Knott 4 and Pam Michelsen 2. The Huskies (coached by Alex Barbier) also included Wendy Reade, Snieguoule Underys, Anley Oue, Diane Crowley, Martha Eggleston, Gail Desloges and Sara Krestel.

        In the final, the Seneca Wampums upset the St. Clair Saints by a convincing 68-43 margin as tourney MVP Leslie Dalcin scored 19, Anne Dodson 17, Carol Gowans 16, Lorretta Dransch 12 and Janet Pearen 4. Marietta Whittal paced St. Clair with 17. Kerry Birch added 7, Debbie Cowgill 6, Gail Matte 5, Denise Pinsonneault 4, Debbie Russ 2 and Nancy Mele 2. Saints coach Bob Weepers told the Windsor Start that “they got the jump on us early and we just couldn’t overtake them.” The Wampums led 34-24 at the half and opened the second frame with a 6-0 run.
