        In the semis, the Seneca Wampums defeated the Algonquin Thunder 61-56 as Leslie Dalcin scored 26, Melinda Coker 16, Heather Huber 13, Karen Rahn 4 and Wendy Northey 2. Susan Owen paced Algonquin with 20, Denise Cauley added 13, Shelly Gibson 11, Leona Leduc 4, Pat Caldwell 3, Marg Steingass 3 and Janet Conley 2.

In the other semi, the George Brown Huskies defeated the St. Clair Saints 59-56 as OCCA scoring leader Desiree Lake scored 24, Deanna Oliver 11, Julie Stines 7, Sharon Ashley 7, Wendy Mann 6 and Line Gagnon 4. George Brown led 35-30 at the half. Desiree Lake told the Windsor Star that “my team did it. They gave me the good passes. You talk to the coach, he’ll tell you.” George Brown coach Alex Barbier said “we’re very fortunate to have a player like her. But it’s always important to have a team effort.” Saints coach John Martel said “we gave up too many easy baskets. That was the difference.” St. Clair was paced by Lisa Rupert 14, Jeannie Brown 10, Karen Prout 9, Chris Carson 9, Shelley McFadden 8, Denise Pinsonneault 4 and Teresa Forster 2.

In the bronze medal match, the St. Clair Saints nipped the Algonquin Thunder 62-60. The Thunder had led 33-25 at the half. Karen Prout paced the Saints with 20 points. Jeannie Brown added 12, Chris Carson 11, Shelley McFadden 10, Teresa Forster 4, Denise Pinsonneault 2, Lisa Rupert 2 and Annie Ediger 1. Jeannie Brown told the Windsor Star “it was the best gam I ever played. It was our last game. We wanted something to remember the season by.” Saints coach John Martel said “they didn’t want to go away empty-handed.” Karen Prout said “my heart was in my mouth. We’ve been trying really hard. We really pressed hard. Today, we played like a team.” Susan Owen led Algonquin with 26. Denise Cauley added 16, Marge Steingass 6, Pat Caldwell 5, Shelly Gibson 4, Leona Leduc 2 and Janet Conley 1. The Thunder also included P Chartrans, Sheila Dennison, Debbie Hilton, Cheryl Kehoe, Kathleen Lalonde, Nancy Laughlin, Celine MacKenzie, Nancy MacVicar, Mari Rosenburg, Marg Steingass, Colette Taillefer and Paullette Douchette.

        In the final, Desiree Lake scored 29 points, including 19 in the second half and four in overtime, to lead the George Brown Huskies to a 68-66 victory over the Seneca Wampums. Julie Stines scored the winning bucket in the final seconds on a setup from Lake. Stines finished with 11, Line Gagnon 10, Carol Buckles 9, Deanne Oliver 7 and Wendy Mann 2. The teams had been tied at 62 after regulation. Desiree Lake told the Windsor Star that “I was nervous in the first half. It was a big game. They’ve got guts. They’re a super ball club.” Seneca coach Dave Kent said “we came here to play. It was just a great game.” Leslie Dalcin paced Seneca with 18. Melinda Coker added 17, Heather Huber 12, Karen Rahn 11 and Jackey Henry 8.
