        In the semis, the Seneca Wampums defeated the St. Clair Saints 48-40 after leading 18-13 at the half. The Saints opened the second half with an 8-0 run take the lead but then relinquished a decisive 16-2 run. Saints coach John Martel told the Windsor Star that “until then, I thought we played well. It wasn’t a case of them overpowering us as much as it was a failure to convert the good scoring chances we had.” Melinda Coker led Seneca with 17 points. Vicki Ekstrom added 8, Jackey Henry 8, Carol Gowans 6, Mary Zettel 5 and Karen Rahn 4. Cathy Craig led the Saints with 11. Shelly McFadden added 10, Jeannie Brown 6, Bernie Vriends 6, Natalie Ivancic 4 and Brenda Parrish 3.

In the other semi, the George Brown Huskies pasted the Centennial Colts 70-46 as Gwen Skutrzky scored 21, April English 19, Lyne Gagnon 10, Wendy Mann 9, Mariane D’Amico 8, Marily McGarry 2 and Eileen McKee 1. Judy Buck and Grace Hillman each scored 8 to pace the Colts. Monica McPhee added 6, Coleen Kamps 6, Geraldine Jacobs 6, Carolyn Operskao 4, Janis Parkins 4, Janis Langner 2 and Gretchen Dearsley 2.

        In the bronze medal match, the St. Clair Saints defeated Toronto’s Centennial Colts 55-51 as Cathy Craig scored 22, Jeannie Brown 10, Bernie Vriends 8, Shelley McFadden 8, Penny Mills 5, Natalie Ivancic 1 and Brenda Parrish 1. Coleen Kamps paced the Colts with 15. Janice Parkin added 14, Grace Hillman 9, Monica McPhee 8, Geraldine Jacobs 2, Judy Buck 2 and Gretchen Dearsley 1. The Colts (coached by Dorothy Bray) included Judy Hornung, Caroline Opersko, Janice Langner, Brenda Farrell, Maureen Phalen and Toni Kapetanios.

        In the final, the Seneca Wampums edged the George Brown Huskies 36-35 as Vicky Estrom and Jackie Henry each scored 8. Carol Gowans added 6, Melinda Coker 6, Karen Rahn 4, Mary Zettel 4 and Nancy Blackwood 1. Gwen Skutezky led George Brown with 12. Line Gagnon added 11, April English 6, Wendy Mann 4 and Marianee D’Amico 2. The game was tied at 21 at the half.
