        In the postseason quarterfinals, Cambrian-Sault Ste. Marie edged the Algonquin Thunder 73-66. The Thunder included Gary Swan, Rick Kilfoyle, Bob Ward, Ed Ayoub, Craig Fisher.

        The Mohawk Mountaineers clipped Lambton-Sarnia Lions 124-70. The Lions included Lou Marut.

        The Seneca Braves defeated the Niagara Knights 98-76. The Knights included Ed Luciow, Jack Gravel, Gord Turner, Jim Randall, Norm Caron, Gary Carlson, Tim Gurnick, Ray Bonin, Roger Perry, John Jasudavisius, Doug Straitxjn and Frank Salfi.

        In the last quarterfinal, the St. Lawrence-Kingston Vikings dumped the Cambrian-Sudbury Golden Shield 77-55 as Bill McArthur scored 18, Doug Falconer 8, Gary Kearns 7, Dave Noble 6, Roger Jones 6, Dave Kennedy 6 and Mick Dowling 5. Vikings coach Mort Morris told the Kingston Whig-Standard that “that was our worst game this year.” Brian Taylor led the Golden Shield with 21. Dale McGuire added 11.

        In the semis, the Mohawk Mountaineers defeated Cambrian-Sault Ste. Marie 109-58 as Dewitt Hanna and Bob Lindley each scored 20. Cambrian-SSM included Mike Grady.

        In the other semi, the Seneca Braves defeated the St. Lawrence-Kingston Vikings 75-70 as John Hunter scored 30, Mike Proto 19 and Rick Morandini 13. The Braves led 36-28 at the half. Mike Dowling led the Vikings with 14. Dave Kennedy added 11, Bill McArthur 11, Doug Falconer 8, Henry Lukassen 8 and Dave Campbell 8. Vikings coach Mort Morris told the Kingston Whig-Standard that “there’s no doubt they have a great team. My only regret is that we didn’t play against more teams like that all season. I also wich we had pressed earlier.” The Vikings had finished the regular season undefeated but defaulted one game because they’d used an ineligible player. The Vikings also included Gary Kearns, Jim Norris, Roger Jones, Gary Dunlop, Dave Noble.

        In the final, the Mohawk Mountaineers defeated the Seneca Braves 92-72 to win their third straight title, and fourth in five years, as Dewitt Hanna scored 25, Rimas Sakalas 19, Al Smithson 14, David Will 14, Larry Snaidero 11 and Bob Lindley 6. Mohawk led 47-34 at the half. Seneca was led by Rick Morandini 24, John Hunter 20 and Mike Proto 10.
