Final regular season standings (3): Providence University College (8-0); Canadian Mennonite (3-7); St. Boniface (1-7)

In the postseason final, the Providence University College Pilots dispatched the Canadian Mennonite Blazers 69-58 after leading 30-20, 48-34 and 54-45 at the quarters. The Blazers rallied within 55-53 in the final frame before the Pilots cranked up their defence and completed their undefeated campaign. Championship MVP Faith LaRocque said the team was determined to get a quick start by doing damage with a full-court press. “It really is ‘play like any other shift’. It’s an intense game, we play a lot with each other and it happened that we made a lot in that shift. We didn’t make as much in other shifts but we made up for it in other ways. … One thing I like to say consistently is one team can score two points, the other zero, as long as you stop that team from scoring, you win the game. Always emphasizing our defensive intensity and enthusiasm all the time.” Faith LaRocque paced the Pilots with 17 on 6-15 from the floor, 5-6 from the line, 11 boards, 2 assists, 2 blocks and 4 steals.
