In the semi-final, the 2nd-seeded Providence University College Pilots torched the 3rd-seeded Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges 67-49. Les Rouges led 12-11 after one quarter. But the Pilots promptly ripped off a 15-0 run and took a 37-17 lead at the half. They led 49-36 after three quarters. Pilots player of the game Trinity Blair said “USB came out strong and we did not. We started with defence in the second quarter and that led to our transition in offence.” Pilots coach Joel Coursey said “that was playoff basketball.” Les Rouges coach Christian Mouné said “we played hard and it was good to see that the team competed and played their best game of the season tonight. I am very proud of them and their effort.” Catherine Marquez was chosen player of the game for Les Rouges. In the final, the top-seeded Canadian Mennonite Blazers dusted the 2nd-seeded Providence University Pilots 79-57 to capture their fourth consecutive title. after leading 21-9, 41-23 and 51-38 at the quarters. Championship MVP Julia Schatkowsky said “it was great to come back after COVID and win this fourth time with Shirliz (Apiyo). It was a great way to end this season and could not think of better way to end our MCAC careers.” Blazer coach Joe Di Curzio said “we pride ourselves on our defence and we put in the effort to get the stops when needed and played great down the stretch. And what a way for both Julia and Shiriz to finish with quite the amazing record and career as they drove this team.” Pilots coach Joel Coursey said “the team did everything I asked of them and they just ran out of gas. I am proud of the effort and they peaked today with this game.” Julia Schatkowsky paced the Blazers with 19 on 8-17 from the floor, 1-4 from the arc, 2-4 from the line, 6 boards, 7 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals.
