Assiniboine plays in the Saskatchewan based Prairie Athletic Conference but does not participate in postseason play. There is no regular season in Manitoba. At the end of the year, the Red River Rebels and Assiniboine Cougars play a best-of-three series to determine the province’s representative to the national tournament.

        In the finals, the Red River Rebels defeated the Assiniboine Cougars 39-41; 54-32; 57-46 (2g-1).

        In game one, Assiniboine prevailed 41-39 as Donna Brown scored 18. Andrea Herbert led the Rebels with 13.

        In game two, Red River evened the series with a 54-32 win as Allison Shade scored 14. Bonnie Lamb led the Cougars with 12.

In the decisive contest, the Red River dispatched the Assiniboine Cougars 57-46. Hope Shelvey led the Cougars with 18.
