Final regular season standings (3): Providence University College (8-0); Canadian Mennonite University (4-4); St. Boniface (0-8)

        In the postseason semis, the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers nipped the St. Boniface Les Rouges 97-96 in overtime. The Blazers led 52-40 at the half. Les Rouges took their first lead at 73-70 with eight minutes to play but the Blazers rallied to knot the score at 87 after regulation. St. Boniface took a 96-93 lead in the extra session but the Blazers closed it out with a 4-0 run. “It was an up and down game for both teams and each team did their best to want it.  It was good basketball. They can play,” said Blazers coach Scott Martin. Les Rouges coach Christian Moune said “Both teams could have won the game. A little unlucky tonight. This is progress from last season and need to be more consistent for next year. Proud of the effort and we can compete against these teams.” Ethan Thacker was chosen player of the game for the Blazers, while Cabrel St. Vincent earned the laurels for Les Rouges. Tucker led the Blazers with 27. George Fedorchuk added 19 and Parker Hamlin 19. Cabrel St. Vincent led Les Rouges with 27. Daniel Conway added 20 and Gregoire Diouf 19.

        In the final, the Providence University College Pilots defeated the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers 66-62 to capture their second consecutive title. The Pilots led 38-37 at the half. The Pilots closed the affair with a 5-0 run. Player of the game Joshua Armstrong said “it feels so good to win back-to-back. We capitalized on our regular season and worked hard. We were disciplined on defence at the end and feels amazing to end my last game in MCAC with a championship and Player of the Game.” Pilots coach Pierre Dubreuil said “this is a blessing to be undefeated in MCAC this year. CMU played hard and we stepped up in the end as we played several games this year that were close in the last minute and we knew how to step it up. What a finish.” Blazers coach Scott Martin said “it was a great atmosphere tonight and could not ask for any more with both teams having a chance with three minutes to go. I am very proud of the effort of the team and had an opportunity down the stretch.” Armstrong led the Pilots with 19. Emmanuel Oleko added 12. Ezra Leano paced the Blazers with 16. Braden Fernandez added 10.
