Assiniboine plays in the Saskatchewan based Prairie Athletic Conference but does not participate in postseason play. The Cougars playoff against Red River for a berth in the nationals.

        No regular season in Manitoba. At the end of the year, Assiniboine and Red River play a best of three to determine the province’s representative to the national tournament.

In the final, Assiniboine defeated the Red River CC Rebels 76-78; 83-73; 86-68 (2g-1).

In game one, Red River prevailed 78-76 as Randy Sosnowski scored 30. Ray Branch led the Cougars with 44.

In game two, Assiniboine clipped Red River 83-73 as Ray Branch scored 35. Chad Kinch led the Rebels with 18.

        In the final match, Assiniboine dusted Red River 86-68 as Ray Branch scored 51. The Cougars led 45-28 at the half. Randy Sosnowski led the Rebels with 20.

        Red River’s Mike Schween is an all-conference selection in some conference, although it’s entirely unclear whether the Rebels played in any kind of conference.

        In the Manitoba Christian Colleges final, Winnipeg Bible dispatched Canadian Mennonite 64-59 as Karen Penner scored 34. The score was knotted at 19 at the half.
