Selected as national player of the year was Gradyn Childerhose of Briercrest. He led the Clippers to a 19-1 regular season record and was chosen ACAC player of the year. “Gradyn has impressive stats,” says Jeff Harris, CCAA men’s basketball convenor. “His team has been very successful this season, in large part to his performances.” After four seasons he ranks fourth in all-time ACAC career points with 1,421 and has amassed 527 rebounds and 43 blocks. The other nominees were Felix Adjei of the Seneca Sting, Ben Chisholm of the Mount Allison Mounties, Brody Greig of the Langara Falcons and Mamadou Médoune Gueye of the Dynamiques de Sainte-Foy. Childerhose ended his career ranked third all-time in the ACAC for blocks in a career with 43, tied for tenth in career rebounds with 527, and fourth in career scoring with 1421 points. He ranked first in the CCAA with 25.05 points per game and eighth for rebounds with 10.15 rebounds per game. This growth as a team player is evidenced by the progression of the program during his tenure beginning with a 1-19 record his rookie season, followed by 3-17, 9-10 and a finally a 19-1 record and number one CCAA ranking.
Langara’s Paul
Eberhardt was named national coach of the year. The Falcons notched a 20-1
regular season record, first place in the CCAA national ranking, the PACWEST
provincial title and first seed at the national championships. They were the
highest scoring team in the country, averaging 93.5 points per game. Eberhardt
said his goal is “to push my athletes to their highest level, both physically
and mentally, and to get them to set very high goals both personally and for
the team.” The other nominees were Rod Adrian of the Briercrest Clippers,
Dwight Dickinson of the St Thomas Tommies, Jim Flack of the Sheridan Bruins,
and Éric Segal of the Dynamiques de Sainte-Foy.
Joining Childerhose on the
All-Canadian team were: Felix Adjei (Seneca). Adjei (Toronto) won the OCAA East
and overall scoring championship with ease, leading all OCAA players with a
22.1 points per game average. The third-year Canadian Collegiate Athletic
Association (CCAA) all-Canadian was the only OCAA player to surpass 400 points
during the regular season with 419. He also contributed 98 rebounds, 43 assists,
34 steals and 17 blocks. The member of the East regional champion Sting
headlines the OCAA East first-team all-stars. Adjei was the OCAA’s player of
the year. …………………………………………………… François Bourque (Montmorency). Bourque led the
RSEZ in field goal percentage and rebounding. He was a first-team RSEQ
all-star. …………………………………………………… Manny Campbell (Mohawk). The fifth-year point
guard was among the OCAA’s top five players in steals with 57 and assists with
69. Campbell averaged 13.7 points per game while contributing 76 rebounds and
three blocks. He is also an OCAA West first-team all-star. ……………………………………………………
Ben Chisholm (Mount Allison). Chisholm led the Atlantic league in rebounding
(10.1) and was second in scoring (18.65). He was a first-team Atlantic all-star.

the Year after leading the conference in assists, earning a career-high 17

Mamadou Médoune Gueye (Sainte-Foy). Gueye was second RSEQ for the second
consecutive year and an All-Canadian for the second consecutive year. He led
the league in scoring (20.7 ppg) and was second in rebounding. ……………………………………………………
Nathan Mazurkiewicz (St. Thomas). Mazurkiewicz led the Tommies to a second-place
conference finish and was a first-team all-star. He hit .857 from the line and
was fourth in the league in scoring (15.82). …………………………………………………… Milos
Prijovic (Concordia). Prijovic was chosen first-team ACAC all conference for
the second year in a row. He led the ACAC North in scoring and rebounding.
