Lethbridge guard Alicia Cameron was chosen CCAA player of the year. Cameron was the ACAC player of the year and a first-team all-star after leading the Kodiaks to a 22-2 record and first place in the league’s South Division, as well as the league’s postseason crown. The general studies student from Carstairs finished 2nd in the South division in scoring (22.55 ppg) and 2nd in steals (3.59 spg), despite missing four games due to injury. ““She is one of our team captains and her work ethic is what means the most when it came to leading the way everyday throughout the season. She truly talked the talk & walked the walk!” said Lethbridge coach Brad Karren. “She truly talked the talk and walked the walk.” Manager of Athletics Todd Caughlin said ““Ali has battled some nagging injuries throughout her senior season but has shown the maturity, composure and leadership of a 5th year student athlete that is unmatched. It will be a large hole to fill after this season in Ali’s spot but she has represented the Kodiaks in a way that she will definitely be missed. … You can always tell the character of a true competitor when after a hard foul or tough play that results in an opposing athlete on the floor and it’s your team leader that is first to help that athlete up. St. Lawrence-Kingston Vikings coach Remy Simpson was chosen CCAA coach of the year. Simpson steered the Vikings to a 15-1 record and first-place finish in the OCAA’s East Division, a three-game improvement over 2014. “Under coach Simpson, the Vikings have made great progress and finished as the top team in their division,” said Mireille Béland, the CCAA Women’s Basketball convenor. “The fourth-year coach is hoping to continue to add quality players to the program in order to continue growth and improvement to propel the team into a national contender.” Other nominees included Dany Charlery (Quest); Chris King (Lakeland); Trevor Williams (Dawson); and Mike Connolly (Holland).

        Joining Cameron as All-Canadians were: Sienna Pollard (Vancouver Island). The 3rd-year forward led the PacWest in scoring (18.48 ppg) and finished 5th in rebounding (8.33) rpg. She was chosen a first-team league all-star after leading the Mariners to a second-place finish with a 16-5 record. …………………………………………………… Shayna Cameron (Quest). Cameron was selected the PacWest player of the year and a first-team all-star. The fourth-year student finished 2nd in the league in scoring and was among the league leaders in assists (55). …………………………………………………… Torrey Hill (NAIT). Hill was chosen a first-team ACAA North all-star after leading the division in scoring (14.5 ppg), rebounds (201), and field goal percentage (.561), while finishing 2nd in blocks (21). Hill led the Ooks to a 20-4 record and a second-place finish in the division. …………………………………………………… Shannon Kennedy (St. Clair). The Windsor native was chosen a first-team OCAA West division all-star after leading the Saints to a third-place finish with a 12-6 record. She was second in the OCAA in scoring (19.3 ppg) and among league leaders in rebounding (146), steals (48) and blocks (22). …………………………………………………… Lindsay Panchan (Durham). The Ajax native was a first-team OCAA all-star after leading the league in scoring with a 25.0 ppg, the second highest in league history. She also hit .807 from the line and was among conference leaders in steals (50). …………………………………………………… Sarah St-Fort (Dawson). St-Fort was chosen RSEQ player of the year and a first-team league all-star. St-Fort finished 7th in the RSEQ in scoring (12.7 ppg) and was among league leaders in in rebounds (138), assists (40) and steals (38). The third-year guard led the Blues to a second-place finish with a 13-3 record. …………………………………………………… Julie Dufresne (Sainte-Foy). Dufresne was chosen a first-team RSEQ all-star after finishing 3rd in the league in scoring (14.4 ppg) and first in free throw shooting (.818). The third-year guard was also among league leaders in rebounds (124) and steals (40) while leading the Blues to a second-place finish with a 13-3 record. …………………………………………………… Kelly Vass (St. Thomas). Vass earned All-Canadian laurels for the second consecutive season after leading the ACAA in assists (5.8 apg) and finished 3rd in steals (3.67 spg). She was chosen an ACAA first-team all-star after leading the Tommies to a second-place finish with a 15-3 record. She was also among conference leaders in scoring (14.93 ppg) and rebounding (8.0 rpg). …………………………………………………… Jazlin Barker (Holland). Barker was chosen ACAA player of the year and a first-team all-star after finishing 5th in the conference in scoring (15.0 ppg) and second in assists (5.43 apg). She also averaged 3.71 rpg and 2.43 spg. The second-year guard led the Hurricanes to a second-place finish with a 14-4 record.
