        In the last quarterfinal, the 3rd-seeded Mount St. Vincent Mystics stomped the 6th-seeded Medicine Hat Rattlers. “We thought we were prepared, but once the game started it was quite evident that we weren’t,” Rattlers coach Jason McLester told the Medicine Hat News. “I would think that nerves and some experience on their part about being to the national tournament (the Mystics finished fifth in 2007) and playing big games had a part to do in that. Our girls were nervous and we did a lot of uncharacteristic things that we haven’t done since the first semester. To be honest, winning and losing right now isn’t important. I want us to play hard

and as well as we can. If we do that, let the chips fall where they may.” The Mystics broke to a 9-0 run and coasted to the win.
