In the Four-West semis, the Langara (then Vancouver CC) Falcons defeated the Red River CC Rebels 95-25 as Deb Strati scored 26 and Rasi Biln 12. The Falcons led 53-11 at the half. Barb Kuz paced the Rebels with 12.
In the other semi, the Mount Royal Cougars defeated Wascana Institute 64-48 as Sue Scott scored 18 and Tracy Lehman 14. Lynn Kozicki paced Wascana with 27. Wascana led 34-18 at the half.
In the bronze medal match, the Wascana Institute whipped the Red River CC Revels 62-35 as Lynn Kozicki scored 22. Jane Templeton led the Rebels with 17.
In the Four-West final, the Mount Royal Cougars defeated the Langara Falcons 54-53 as Deb Strati scored 18 and Yvonne Goodwill 18. Sherri McNally led the Falcons with 18.
In the national quarterfinals, held at the Montreal Velodrome, the host Ste-Foy Dynamiques defeated the Four-West champ Mount Royal Cougars, coached by Bob Rose, 50-49.
In the other quarterfinal, the Ontario champ George Brown Huskies, coached by Alex Barbier, thumped the wildcard Seneca Wampums, coached by Dave Kent, 51-41.
In the semis, the host Ste-Foy Dynamiques nipped the Nova Scotia champ Nova Scotia Agricultural College Rams, coached by Judy Smith, 61-59.
In the other semi, the Quebec champ John Abbott Islanders stomped the George Brown Huskies 123-31.
In the bronze medal match, the Nova Scotia Agricultural College Rams nipped the George Brown Huskies 41-40.
In the final, the John Abbott Islanders defeated the Ste. Foy Dynamiques 83-43 as Wendy Verrecchia scored 15, Jose Coderre 12 and Sue Hylland 12. Genevieve Rail led Ste. Foy with 15. The Islanders finished (40-4) on the season.
