In the quarterfinals, held at Moose Jaw’s Saskatchewan Technical Institute, the Sheridan Bruins, coached by Wayne Allison and winners of the Ontario title, whipped the wild card host Saskatchewan Technical Institute Beavers 90-45. The hosts were coached by Peter Lepointe. The Bruins size and quickness proved far too much for Saskatchewan Tech to handle. Kevin St. Kitts of the Bruins was chosen player of the game. Peter Willis scored 15 for Saskatchewan Technical. Saskatchewan Tech committed 27 turnovers, while Sheridan only had 16.

The Quebec champion Maisonneuve Vikings, coached by Jean-Guy Morin, defeated the Saskatchewan champ Canadian Bible College Crusaders, coached by Art Hoel, by a 70-57 count. Maisonneuve, which had finished fourth in Quebec regular season play but won the postseason tourney, was led by Robert Dufour. The Vikings shot .670 from the floor and .880 from the line.

The Alberta champ S.A.I.T. Trojans crushed the Manitoba champ Assiniboine CC Cougars, coached by Bob Nevill, 88-63 as Peter Olson scored 15, Trevor Hamilton 12, Mark Holland 10, Chris Moore 10 and point guard Wayne Gray 9. The Trojans led 48-31 at the half.

In the last quarterfinal, the Nova Scotia champ Nova Scotia Teachers College Hawks, coach by Peter Caulfield, edged the Totem Conference champion Langara Falcons 92-90 as player of the game Kevin Newcome has 17 points, 6 assists and five steals. Gareth Davies led the Falcons with 31.

In the bronze quarterfinals, the Canadian Bible College Crusaders defeated the Assiniboine CC Cougars 66-54.

 In the other bronze quarterfinal, the Vancouver CC Falcons clocked the Saskatchewan Technical Institute Beavers 74-42.

 In the semis, the Sheridan Bruins defeated the Nova Scotia Teachers College Hawks 101-51 as Scott Hardley scored 17.

In the other semi, the SAIT Trojans defeated the Maisonneuve Vikings 81-74 in overtime. Chris Moore hit a trey with two seconds on the clocks to force the extra session for the Trojans.

 In the bronze semis, the Nova Scotia Teachers College Hawks edged the Canadian Bible College Crusaders 85-82.

 In the other bronze semi, the Vancouver CC Falcons stomped the Maisonneuve Vikings 93-66.

 In the bronze medal match, the Nova Scotia Teachers College Hawks defeated the Langara (then Vancouver CC) Falcons 80-71.

In the final, the Sheridan Bruins defeated the S.A.I.T. Trojans 94-78 as Kevin St. Kitts scored 19. The Bruins led 55-32 at the half. Wayne Gray paced the Trojans with 14. Peter Olson added 13 and Trevor Hamilton 13.
