        In the quarterfinals, held in Sackville, the 4th-seeded St. Thomas Tommies defeated the 5th-seeded University of King’s College Blue Devils 68-61. The Blue Devils led 11-8 after one quarter and 31-28 at the half. The Blue Devils (coached by Parker Regan) included Heather Wall, Rachel Koskowich, Candace Reynolds, Christina Brown, Mallory Thomas, Madison Bennett, Isabella Kellerman and Jessica Simm.

In the other quarterfinal, the 3rd-seeded Mount Allison Mounties smacked the 6th-seeded University of New Brunswick-St. John Seawolves 61-42. The Mounties led 18-11, 39-22 and 54-30 at the quarters.         In the other semi, the 2nd-seeded Mount St. Vincent Mystics clipped the 3rd-seeded Mount Allison Mounties 65-53. The Mounties led 14-9 after one quarter. The Mystics rallied to a 29-26 lead at the half after applying a combination of half-court and full-court defences to befuddle the Mounties. The Mystics led 43-40 after three quarters. “We prepared in pretty much every way that we could. We knew what they were going to do,” said Mounties forward Erin Steeves. “I think those small gaps where we had little drops in play, it did come down to experience.” Maria Carroll paced the Mystics with 17 on 7-14 from the floor, 0-4 from the arc, 3-3 from the line, 6 boards, 3 assists and 2 steals.         In the final, the top-seeded Holland Hurricanes defeated the 2nd-seeded Mount St. Vincent Mystics 75-64. The score was knotted at 15 after one quarter. The Mystics led 27-22 at the half. The Hurricanes led 51-49 after three quarters.

The Hurricanes trailed at the half, dealt with injuries to Milcania Diaz-Rojas, Cassie Cooke and Ty’Keia Beals and its lone starter from last year, Chelsea Slawter-Wright, fouled out. “We were under a lot of adversity and we showed a whole whack of character down the stretch and had a will to win that wasn’t going to be denied,” Hurricanes coach Mike Connolly said. At the half, Connolly said he told this team “we’re a championship team, this is what we worked seven months for and we have 20 minutes to get this done. … We defended like nobody’s business. We were after it the whole night. They didn’t want to go to nationals as the wildcard. We wanted to go as conference champion. They put it all on the line and I couldn’t be more proud of them. … Jayla Verney has answered the bell all year long. Anytime we needed a big basket, she would deliver and she was true to form this weekend.” Connolly added that Tyleigha Nelson had a “monster game. … She just showed some true grit and real character. We needed one of our healthy kids to step up and deliver and, man, did she ever deliver.” Tyleigha Nelson was chosen player of the game for the Hurricanes.
