        In the quarterfinals, the 3rd-seeded Mount Allison Mounties dumped the 6th-seeded University of New Brunswick-Saint John Seawolves 68-34 as Shannon Parlee scored 14, Kristen Atkins 10 and Catherine Cox 9. Pauline Waggott led the Seawolves with 12. Sarah Scoville added 5, Stephanie Wilkins 4 and Alisha Sherwood 4. The Seawolves also included Jill Balser, Jennifer Bergeron, Heather Cusack, Alexandra Hickey, Erin Sproul, Sophia Stackhouse, Sarah Sullivan and Sarah Trott.

        In the other quarterfinal, the 5th-seeded Atlantic Baptist Blue Tide dumped the 4th-seeded Holland Hurricanes 67-51 as Ashley Robichaud scored 18, Brittany Carter 16 and Angela Daley 15. Kirsten Walker led the Hurricanes with 16. Maria Younker added 13 and Emily MacEachern 12. The Hurricanes also included Katie McCormack.

        In the semis, the top-seeded St. Thomas Tommies defeated 5th-seeded Atlantic Baptist Blue Tide 75-37 as Alicia Sterling scored 15, player of the game Pam Carvell 14 and Heather Atherton 11. Amy Barter and Ashley Robichaud led Atlantic Baptist with 8 each. Angela Daley added 6 and Blue Tide player of the game Erin Keoughan 6. The Blue Tide also included Brittany Carter, Meghan Dickie, Meghan Keoughan, Katlyn Parolle and Christine Steeves.

In the other semi, the 2nd-seeded Mount Saint Vincent Mystics defeated the 3rd-seeded Mount Allison Mounties 58-34 as player of the game Katherine Brien scored 14, Kali Van Vulpen 9 and Amy Peveril 8. Shannon Parlee was chosen player of the game for the Mounties after scoring 16. Marlon Smith added 6 and Rebecca Himmelman 4. The Mounties also included Kristen Atkins, Laura Chapman, Catherine Cox, Christianne Jost, Allie Mayberry, Natalie Owens, Megan Plummer, Jennifer Robinson, Sarah Sutherland, Jenna Tracey and Danielle Trenholm.

In the final, the top-seeded St. Thomas Tommies defeated the 2nd-seeded Mount Saint Vincent Mystics 60-53 as player of the game Pam Carvell scored 16. Alicia Sterling added 13 and Heather Atherton 9. Katherine Brien led the Mystics with 16. Brandy Jones added 8, Amy Peveril 8 and Erin Chalk 8. Kaili Van Vulpen was chosen player of the game for the Mystics. St. Thomas jumped out to an early 10-2 lead at the end of the first quarter but the Mystics outscored the Tommies 16-12 in the second quarter to make it 22-18 at the half. The lead changed hands many times in the second half before St. Thomas pulled away late in the game to win their first women’s basketball title in 12 years. “For the first time since the 1993-94 season, the STU Tommies Basketball team are the ACAA Champs. I am so proud of all the hard work displayed by the women. We came to win a title not a bunch of games early on and we showed that we are a team of character. The senior leadership felt amongst the Tommies makes us a continued force and we worked tirelessly as a team to keep our heads on and keep in control throughout regular season play,” said Coach Fred Connors.
