In the final, the 3rd-seeded Holland Hurricanes dispatched the top-seeded Crandall Chargers 88-74 to capture their second consecutive ACAA crown. “It feels great. It’s awesome,” guard Jake Kendrick said. “This is my family. It feels great to win with these boys.” Rookie coach Josh Whitty said “the boys played well. “We beat two top-10 teams in the country here this weekend.” Crandall led 23-14 after one quarter. Holland led 38-36 at the half and 66-55 after three quarters. “There was never a panic today,” Whitty said. “We knew that we were going to turn it around and it started with us getting stops on the defensive end.” Kendrick said the team remained confident, despite falling behind early. “It just shows how much fight we have. We never once thought we couldn’t win.” Alvin Parker paced the Hurricanes with 28 on 14-29 from the floor, 0-5 from the arc, 5 boards and 6 assists.
