        In the quarterfinals, the 6th-seeded Mount Allison Mounties almost squandered a 16-point halftime lead but held on for a 62-57 overtime win over defending champ and 3rd-seeded St. Thomas Tommies. The STU Tommies came back from a 31-14 half-time deficit to send the game into overtime at 55-55. The Mounties’ tenacious defense led to offensive transition buckets which proved the difference in the final minute. Player of the Game for St. Thomas was David Burns, who netted 8 points, had 2 assists and 6 key steals. For the Mounties, Iain McDiarmid claimed player of the game honours with 22 points, 2 steals and 1 assist. The Tommies also included Jay Walsh, Alex Doley, Jordan Al-Assadi.

        In the other quarterfinal, the 5th-seeded UNB-Saint John Seawolves thrashed the 4th-seeded Moncton Blue Eagles 71-55. Player of the game for the Seawolves was Scott Hachey with 34 points. For the Blue Eagles, Xavier Beriault earned player of the game honours, having scored 19 points. The Blue Eagles also included Cedrick Kabongo, Antoine Beriault, Etienne LeGresley.

        In the semis, the top-seeded Mount Saint Vincent Mystics defeated the 6th-seeded Mount Allison Mounties 72-53 as Chris DeWolfe scored 17. The score was 42-23 for the Mystics at the half. The Mystics were led by player of the game Chris DeWolfe who shot 7 for 7 from the field and made 3 foul shots. League MVP Shawn Clarke added 14 points and 8 boards. The Mounties effort was led by All-Conference Player Iain McDiarmid who netted 16, including three 3-pointers, and ACAA Rookie of the Year Doyle Anthony with 14 points. Player of the Game for the Mounties was Mathew Finnis.

        In the other semi, the 2nd-seeded King’s College Blue Devils rallied from a 16-point deficit to defeat the host and 5th-seeded New Brunswick Saint John Seawolves 71-68. The Blue Devils rallied from a late 11-point deficit to take the Seawolves by 3. The score at the half was 41-40 for the Blue Devils. The Blue Devils were led by their two all-conference guards, player of the game Aaron Carpenter and shooting guard Tim Adams. The Seawolves came up short despite the efforts of all-conference and player of the game, Scott Hachey, who netted 26 and the strong rebounding efforts and leadership of team captain Jon Lane.

        In the final, the University of King’s College Blue Devils rallied from a 12-point deficit to nip the top-seeded Mount Saint Vincent Mystics 88-87 in overtime as Baltimore native and rookie 5-10-point guard Aaron Carpenter scored the winning bucket with 20 seconds to play. Blue Devils captain Tim Adams said “it was one of those situations where you get a feeling inside that you know you’ll stop at nothing to win. We turned it on pretty hard. But give full credit to the Mount. They placed a heck of a game too.” The Blue Devils had forced overtime when rookie guard Lucas Adekola hit a free throw with 31 seconds remaining in regulation. “It was a real gutsy effort from everyone,” said coach Jeff Paris. Carpenter led the Blue Devils with 21. Tim Adams added 20 and Matt Jones 17. Chris DeWolfe scored 30 and nabbed 18 boards before fouling out with two minutes to play for the Mystics, who hit 24/40 from the line. “We had a couple of shots to win it but our foul shooting pretty much did us in,” said Mystics coach Rick Plato. Player of the game Tim Adams came through with some big shots near the end of the second half to force the overtime. Carpenter put the Blue Devils ahead for good with a driving lay-up in the last 20 seconds of overtime. DeWolfe was chosen player of the game for the Mystics after hitting four treys.
