Final New Brunswick divisional standings (4): Mount Allison (5-1); UNB-Saint John (x-x); St. Thomas (x-x); Moncton (x-x). Mount Allison only played half a schedule as they also toiled in the AUAA.

       In the Tier II (New Brunswick) semis, hosted by Mount Allison, the top-seeded Mounties whipped the 4th-seeded Moncton Blue Eagles 70-49 as Paul Holder scored 21 and Brad Muir 11. The Mounties led 42-14 at the half. Alan Vautour scored 20 to pace the Blue Eagles. Yvan Gervais added 15.

In the other semi, the UNB-Saint John Red Barons defeated the defending champ St. Thomas Tommies 71-67 as Lew MacDonald hit the winning jumper with 17 seconds to play. MacDonald led the Red Barons with 32. Lamb added 10. Rick Theriault scored 22 to pace the Tommies. Paul Sullivan added 15, Don MacNeil 13 and Dave McGoinley 12.

In the bronze medal match, the Moncton Blue Eagles dispatched the St. Thomas Tommies 72-63 as Vautour scored 16, while nabbing 17 boards, Gervais 22 and Mazzerolle 10. Paul Sullivan scored 20 to lead the Tommies. Dave McGinley added 12 and Rick Theriault 12. The Tommies (coach Terry Murphy) also included Don McNeil, Larry LeCour.

In the final, the Mount Allison Mounties defeated the UNB-Saint John Red Barons 84-76 as McConnell scored 14 and Muir 21, while nabbing 12 boards. The Mounties hit 31-79 from the floor and 22-29 from the line. Lew MacDonald led the Red Barons with 23. The Red Barons led 49-41 at the half. They hit 33-69 from the floor and 10-19 from the line.

The all-tournament team included Brad Muir (Mount Allison); Norvall McConnell (Mount Allison); Lew MacDonald (UNBSJ); Alan Vautour (Moncton); and Paul Sullivan (St. Thomas).
